Lightning waive captain Andreychuk

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The Tampa Bay Lightning waived 42-year-old captain Dave Andreychuk on Tuesday, saying the inspirational leader of their Stanley Cup championship team could not keep up with the speed the NHL's new rules have brought about.

Not a very classy move, IMO. As true as it 'might' be, he's the Captain and he's enititled to be given a chance to retire. That whole Tampa team is struggling. If they weren't, Dave's stats would be higher too...
