I need a way to back up sixty gigs of music.

I need suggestions. My 80 gig hard drive is almost full, and I want to format it to get rid of all of the garbage. Should I get an external hard drive, a CD-R and about 80 CDs, or some other method? I think that getting an external hard drive would be the most reasonable way, but I can't find anything affordable: I'm unemployed. What's the cheapest external hard drive that can hold at least sixty gigs?
