They went 6-0 in their division? Well then thats got to mean they're Super Bowl bound. To take on the powerhouse Cardinals and 49ers four times in a season, that tells you this team is destined for the championship. The Rams are the only team to pose a type of a threat but they were below .500 also and didn't impress either.

But don't stop the presses just yet, because the Seahawks also played the Titans, Texans, and Eagles. This "incredible offense" of the Seattle had 4 more net yards than the Eagles while most of their TDs came from picking the future Hall of Famer, Mike McMahon.

They just barely squeaked by the Giants. In my opinion, New York outplayed them in just about every way. They even had a zillion false starts, and still managed to put up a fight. Feely just fucked it up.

True, they also beat the Colts. The Colts were without Marvin Harrison, Bob Sanders, and Cato June. Manning only played a quarter. They did already clinch home-field. BUT WHOS COUNTING.

That leaves the Falcons and the Cowboys. At the time, the Falcons wern't terrible and Seattle did a pretty good job the first half. Almost blew it in the second half though. They just barely edged out the Cowboys in that final drive too.

Should the Seahawks be a playoff team? Probably. Should they be a number 1 seed? Probably not. In my opinion, I haven't been impressed with them all season. And I know The Miz is going to shoot me down and give me sats and analysis, but don't bother because I don't care. I don't want to get into a Miz-Vel/RP-Vel/whatever type of arguement that goes on forever. They just haven't impressed me and thats why.
I don't know if you noticed, but the NFL had a ton of shitty teams this year. No one had that tough of a schedule, especially NFC teams. The Seahawks beat the teams they should've.

If you take this post and replace the word Seahawks with Panthers it makes perfect sense. Carolina beat New England, great. And who else? Tampa Bay? Minnesota? Uh... Arizona? Their schedule was equally as crappy as the Seahawks', but with a few exceptions they beat the teams they should've. Why aren't you calling them overrated?

I've heard alot of NFL commentators talk about the Seahawks, and 99% of them mention the easy schedule. I don't see how you can say they're overrated when every single person points this out. Every single team in the NFC had an easy schedule, because the NFC is shit.

I think Seattle and Carolina have proven all year long they are the two best teams in the NFC and I'm glad they're facing off. I like our chances; we've been playing well at home, Hasselbeck and Jackson are on fire, we're completely healthy, and we're much less nervous now that the monkey is off our back. Carolina is missing their top 2 running backs as well as possibly their best lineman. I still think they have a great shot, Delhomme and Smith are playing good enough to overcome the running game, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they return to the SuperBowl.
