If you take this post and replace the word Seahawks with Panthers it makes perfect sense. Carolina beat New England, great. And who else? Tampa Bay? Minnesota? Uh... Arizona? Their schedule was equally as crappy as the Seahawks', but with a few exceptions they beat the teams they should've. Why aren't you calling them overrated?

I've heard alot of NFL commentators talk about the Seahawks, and 99% of them mention the easy schedule. I don't see how you can say they're overrated when every single person points this out. Every single team in the NFC had an easy schedule, because the NFC is shit.

I think Seattle and Carolina have proven all year long they are the two best teams in the NFC and I'm glad they're facing off. I like our chances; we've been playing well at home, Hasselbeck and Jackson are on fire, we're completely healthy, and we're much less nervous now that the monkey is off our back. Carolina is missing their top 2 running backs as well as possibly their best lineman. I still think they have a great shot, Delhomme and Smith are playing good enough to overcome the running game, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they return to the SuperBowl.
Panthers injuries aside (next year they'll be fine, let Deshaun and Davis go and draft someone who is durable), maybe they didn't do that hot during the regular season, when it comes to good teams... but I'll tell you what:

At Meadowlands, pitching a shutout, and then going back to Chicago to lead like, the whole game... The regular season is when good teams win... like the Colts. The postseason is when great teams win... which is why I was so dumbfounded by the Pats losing. That was just absurd. I think it's just time. Like with the Lakers... they've probably just lost enough of a step. And enough coaches.
