Because proper punctuation, spelling, and structure make posts easier to read. It's a courtesy thing.

Now, if you go to the trouble of capitalizing the correct words, using proper spelling and punctuation, it shows that you actually put some effort into the post and, therefore, it may just be worth the effort to read it.
