I still say it's too soon to put the strap on Eddie, but the only way to redeem it if for the WWE to give Eddie a nice long reign. He has to beat Lesnar somewhat cleanly (i.e. Goldberg spears Lesnar, then Eddie hits the frog splash instead of Goldberg spears Lesnar and Eddie pins), then beat Angle in a long and hard fought match where Eddie goes over cleanly following a major spot (top rope something). He should then have another two or three months with the belt if the fans are to believe it. Make him a fighting champion, and that's how you can pull this out. |
