V for Vendetta is an Alan Moore comic book/Graphic Novel about a "hero" who strikes fear into the hearts of a government which more or less rules by fear. Apparently, the Wachowskis are really playing up theterror aspect, and people are whining that V is a terrorist.

V is a terrorist. One with a flair for theatrics.

Moore is most famous, perhaps, for Watchmen. Both are awesome books. He did League of Extraordinary Gentlemen too...I hope they do a better job than THAT.
