No, because Goldberg sucks. And on top of that, Goldberg's appeal is that he is unbeatable. You don't put the unbeatable guy on the team that loses, because it means he has to be beaten (remember, the final match was elimination style).
If that were the case, the only way to effectively make Goldberg job would have been for him to have been the last guy on his team, with at least 3 survivng WWE guys each hitting their finisher on him with him kicking out until someone finally nails him with a "super" version of their finisher (top rope Angle Slam or something?)
