Kane's been going for the World Title, just never winning it lately, much like Undertaker used to do. YES, I know they're not really brothers, but that's the first similie that came to mind. Kane was even in the Elimination Chamber earlier this year and usually is.
As for "John Cena's, Triple H's, Edge's and Shawn Michaels'", Kane's come pretty close with Triple H, and it seemed like Kane got at least as many wins over Edge when they were feuding last year as Edge got over Kane.
