I remember hearing that when they do the movie, they're hoping to do the first hour like a regular movie, and the second hour in realtime.
Making a movie out of a show like 24 seems like a bad idea. Any show where a problem is introduced and resolved in the same episode could make a successful movie. They can use the 2hrs of the movie to tell a longer story than they'd normally get to in the 30 mins/1hr they usually have. In 24 there is usually one big problem that lasts all season. Sure, it's broken down in to smaller problems throughout, but they all tie into the master scheme of things. I can't imagine the movie having some huge epic plot and only lasting 2 hrs. It seems like a step backwards. Making a movie out of 24 is like making a tv series out of Star Wars....
