Just finished watching the show, and all I can say is that it was fucking incredible. I haven't seen a PPV that good in a long time.
The 6-man X-Cup preview match just got me even more pumped for the World X-Cup this year; it's definitely going to be very interesting. I really enjoyed the workers from New Japan; especially Tanaka and Goto.
Low Ki was the last guy I expected to come in to face Daniels tonight, but I'm glad he did. I don't know about this Senshi shit, but it doesn't change the fact that he's a great worker. His cheap win over Daniels promises more matches between the two, which is only a good thing.
The arm wrestling challenge is the only area of the show I have problems with. It was a complete waste of time and Bob Armstrong's name shouldn't be on a TNA PPV card. Hopefully they blow this feud off soon.
The X-Scape match was pretty awesome, even if I do hate pretty much every Sharkboy match I've ever seen (at least he got eliminated first). The ending was kind of overbooked, but Sabin won and I got my dose of the Canadian Destroyer.
I really expected a lot more from Joe and Sabu, and I thought that it would go longer than it did. I guess it accomplished what it needed to in that it was a fight and it helps Joe's continuing brutal streak of wins.
I didn't think I would like the Anthem match, but little quick Spike Dudley really brings a breath of fresh air to the stale Team 3D wrestling style. The ending was again a little bit overbooked, but solid none-the-less. The following singing of the national anthem was pretty lame.
I just don't care that Raven is back. There's too much other better talent on the TNA roster for me to get excited about a guy long past his prime and in an uninteresting storyline with Larry Zybyzsko.
Christian Cage vs. Abyss was awesome; best match I've seen Christian in in years. He really put himself into that match and proved that he can be a main event guy in TNA. Really cool finish too, with the sunset flip powerbomb onto thumbtacks OVER the top of the steel cage. Again, an awesome match all around.
Lethal Lockdown was just a fun way to end the night. I thought it made Styles and Killings look a bit weak, but I guess that's how it was meant to be booked. AJ's spot towards the end was sweet and innovative. It was nice to see Steiner and Sting in the same ring together again. A really fun match and a good way to end an awesome PPV on a positive note.
I suggest ordering the DVD or replay. It was a great show.
