They have, and it's worked, for the most part. Now people have changed. It's just happened, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the fact that most of the audience which was positionable has left? Maybe it is because of some kind of pop-culture development which has allowed people more freedom when it comes to their views. I don't know how to pinpoint the exact moment when people clicked over.

Anyway, people aren't letting the WWE position them anymore. They tried to make John Cena a good guy and the fans eventually told the WWE to go fuck themselves. They then try it with Rey Mysterio. I constantly get this image of a person who is looking at a nice thing, then someone comes up and says "isn't that nice?" so many time that the person who was originally looking at it suddenly associates a negative image with that thing.

The WWE got away with positioning us alongside Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. Now we have entered a time when people don't want to be told to colour between the lines. Why does the WWE keep pushing us to, it just makes us want to rebel.
