Yeah I finished watching "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" earlier today at a friend's.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie really was. I know "chic flicks" get a bad wrap most of the time. However this one had an unsual depth. The comming of age motif between these four friends centered by a pair of jeans that all of them can fit oddly enough was an emotional thing to see. Over the course of the movie, I saw how realistically these girls grew into young women. As a girl , you dont feel so alone with all the problems we face as young women. Strangely it all happened over an extended summer vacation. I could identify with every girls situation. Usually I just watch a movie like that to "feel good" or for the upbeat dialogue.
Anyways, have you ever had a movie to surprisingly change your mind for the better after seeing it?
Others that were surprisingly good:
"Anywhere But Here"
"Garden State"
"Before Sunset"
