05/16/2006 - According to WrestlingObserver.com, TNA stand out Samoa Joe suffered what appeared to be a knee injury during a match taped for TNA Xplosion after the iMPACT! tapings had concluded last night in Orlando, Florida.

In a match with David Young, Joe was throwing a kick and his knee appeared to go out. We have no further details at this time other than he had to be assisted to the back and initial reports from those there live was that it seemed to be a serious injury.

We should have an update on this sometime later this morning.

At last night's Impact tapings, Samoa Joe basically tore every knee ligament except the ACL. He suffered a first degree tear of his PCL and a second degree tear of his MCL. He will be getting an MRI later this week to assess the damage. After the MRI, it will be known as to how long he will be out of action. He's not expected to be back right away.
