They weren't predictions. It was just spoof news.

And yeah, I been following the "backstage" side of WWE since about 1993 so I did have quite a bit of "inside knowledge", via non-kayfabe news reports in Satellite Times magazine back in the day, and Power Slam magazine here in the UK. Plus I was following wrestling on the internet from 1998 onwards. I would've been around 15 at the time. Man, that makes me feel old.
