also Jack Thomson in my beliefs is a person, who trys to over-exaggerate the effects of violent games, while I do believe games are harmful, I see no problem with older members of society buying these games, I can see why he whould be pissed that a 6 year old kid can go buy manhunt or gta: san andreas, frankly im pissed too, thats sick. But for the older player 17+ which is the minimum mature age, what is the difference really, between violent games, movies, and books or any other form of media, what i find said though is that violence sells so well, are we such a sadistic race that violence is that appealing? Also there is one other place violence extremely persists and that place is called reality, don't believe me watch the news some night, bombings in the middle east, soldiers being killed, people getting shot, murdered, raped, beaten, kids being beaten by there parents, and alot of other stuff thats happens in the real world I find alot worse, and alot scarier then virtual reality, because you getting shot in a game may make you mad because you died, but in real life there is no save, there is no pause, and there isn't no reload button.

point in case the world and what everything in it has done and is capable off is scary
Honestly, I think he's cashing in on the hot topic. His crusade is one of convenience that gets him on TV and allows him to get the attention he very much deserves. It allows him to persue his other interests, like deciding which of our goverment officials are homosexual.
