I wouldn't call Lohse with a 7 era a decent pickup and Cromier is eh, though he's having a good year

LOSERS:
Red Sox - did nothing while the Yankees got better
And why did they have to do anything? Last I checked they were in first place, they're not chasing anyone. What do they need another bat with Manny, Ortiz and Pena healthy? Did they need another starter with Clement and Wells having been hurt all year? Say what you want about Wells, but when healthy he wins, and wins big games. Schilling, Beckett, Wells, Wakefield and Lester isn't anything to scoff at
Pirates - got nothing for 3 good players
Do you mean Casey, whos been hurt most of the year? Or Wilson, whom they didn't have a position for? Or do you mean Kip Wells who hasn't really proved to be anything since he came back from the injury? There was limited calue on ALL of those players, they got prospects or an ML ready player(Nady, Chacon) hardly nothing

Mets - got more crappy Latin pitchers
HAHAHA Maybe you didn't know about the Sanchez injury that they needed an arm, or maybe you didn't think Oliver Perez had any talent, but Hernandez will help the bullpen for however long Sanchez is out. P.S Hernandez has an ERA under 3 the last season and a half and if Perez ever gets it together, watch out

Nats - didn't trade Soriano
Why did they have to? If they got crap offers and decide to keep him, what's the problem? If they don't resign him long term, then you have an argument

Cubs - worst infield in baseball history
I guess you're not aware of Derrek Lee (hurt) or Aramis Ramirez

Angels - did nothing when they needed to do something
Agreed

Dodgers - what a mess
Also agree, Lugo has a position until Kent and Garciaparra come back

Royals - picked up a nice prospect but the 2 guys they gave up have potential

Stairs is old and Affeldt was medicore, I disagree
Just my opinion though
