At one point it was rumored that Johnny Damon had just that type of clause in his contract when he first signed with Boston. See how far that got him.
I don't care what team it is, if the money is right... you will play.
If I didn't fuck up my arm and leg (and if I was good enough to make the majors), my dream was to play for the White Sox. I mean... come on... I grew up 2 blocks from old Comiskey Park. I was at nearly EVERY game from 85 til 95 ( my dad dropped our season tickets after the strike).
But if the money was there... I would of played for the Cubs. No matter what I thought about the team growing up.
It's easy to say what you would and wouldn't do now, but things are different when the offer is made.
