No. We played Florida last year and play them again this year. West vs. East. Like that every year. We always play Tennessee and they are in the East. Vandy is in the east, we play them this year. South Carolina is in the East and we played them last year. If we only played within our own section, we would have 5 division games which would make no sense.
How many SEC teams are in the top 10 this year? Top 25? I wouldn't say we are the dominant overpowering conference that we once were with Alabama being loaded down with sanctions, injuries, and everything else and Tennessee having a down year last year, but I think we are still the strongest conference. Most teams have a few teams on their conference schedule who are no-doubt wins. They probably don't look at it that way obviously, but everyone knows it. We don't have that. Even with teams like Ole Miss, Vandy, and Miss. State looking like "cupcakes", they are upcoming teams I think. They always have good athletes and give good games. I think Ole Miss is going to have a pretty good year. Weakest teams I see in the conference is probably Vandy and State probably. Florida, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina - six good solid teams in one conference. Not many conferences like that. Maybe I am biased though.
