Dye should get some love for AL MVP (as I have already posted) and Thome being hurt when we need him the most is going to suck. This has been a strange year for the Sox. At times, the pitching staff has shown flashes of greatness. Garland pitched a hell of a game today (the staff just can't get on a roll) and Jenks leads all of baseball in saves (36). Like you said, the offense is ridiculous right now and our defense is just as solid as it was last year (Rowand who? Anderson is the man in CF).

But what makes it so strange is the fact that no matter what as been said about the team, they are still 23 games over .500. They have the 3rd best record (75-52) in the AL and the 4th best record overall.

I don't want to say that the season will come down to this weekend with the Twins, but it is one of the most important series left this year (so important that it really should be all over ESPN, but of course will not be).
