Now correct me if I'm wrong, but Shane Douglas is the kind of guy that burns a lot of bridges, correct? I mean outside of just having a beef with Flair, there are very few people in the wrestling world that acctaully got along with Douglas, and even fewer that are still alive (I don't mean to disrespect Candido, but to point out what kind of dick Shand Douglas is). Also there is the fact that Mick Foley, one of Shanes good friends also has a problem with Ric Flair. Which means when Mick and Shane get together they probably bash the Natch as well, which helps to mutually fester their fueds.
On the flip side of the coins, while Ric doesn't burn bridges like Shane does, he certainly holds grudges.
I don't know if I helped answer the questions, I'm just saying that neither probably remebers the exact reason, and I'm willing to put good money down that there wasn't ever just one big thing, but a pile of little things.
That and Shane is a douche.
