Ok...

Ethernet is high speed internet, whether it be cable, dsl or whatever. You need to have it (and probably router) if you are going to connect any next gen system to the internet.

The Wii is unique in that it (stupidly) ONLY uses wireless internet to connect. So basically, you need the following:

* high speed internet connection
* wireless router
* Wii
