I was half joking by saying you should give those teams back to Canada, but a hockey team in Dallas? Do you think some yokel is a cowboy hat care about anything other then high school football? Let alone a sport that isn't even possible in their city naturally.
The reason why the Canadian teams had to leave canada is because the cities were too small and they didn't have a big enough fan base, which is true, but it also had to do with the weakening of the Canadian dollar, which is now closer to the US dollar then ever. Owners were losing money because of the exchange rate.
I just think it's bull shit that the country where Canada is most popular, and where the sport was invented has only six teams. Realistically, I'd say give Canada back another team. But then again I'm not a big fan of hockey so what do I know.
