Puder claims he was trying to break Angle's arm, and that he couldn't understand why it didn't break. Angle claims that he was physically weak at that time due to injury, and that if he were to spar with Puder NOW that Puder would never get him in the armlock to begin with.

The way I see it is simple: both men are smarting. Puder, because he couldn't squeeze a submission out of Angle (who would probably rather suffer a broken arm than tap out on TV in a shoot) and Angle because he was put in a humiliating position by challenging a young "punk" to a shoot and having to be bailed out of it by a questionable referee fast count.
