Never been a big fan of short yardage backs myself, unless you have a smaller running back like a Barry Sanders or something, I really don't see why an average sized running back can't get the first down. You don't need a 260 pound guy "busting through" for 2 yards, I'm sure your 220 pound back who just did all the work to get you to the 1, can easily get that 1 yard TD .


Not really buying the YOU KNEW IT thing with Bettis either, seeing how he coughed up the ball in the "biggest short yardage situation" of his career.
