If anyone actually watched their match on SmackDown!, you'd see The Undertaker and Kane weren't exactly hand-slapping each other as if they were Paul London & Brian Kendrick. Kane was priceless with his "Hey, we're partners, may as well do this shit" mannerisms, and Taker was quite good with his "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Glen?" stance.
Look at it this way: The Undertaker and Kane have been Tag Team Champions together, they've been bitter enemies, but they've been in the business so long new enemies replace them. The Undertaker and Kane know each other so well, and are both so good, they have that faith in each other's abilities. So Kane can kill The Undertaker? Right now he's going to help The Undertaker kill Kennedy. I look at their allegiance as a liking of each other's abilities, not a bond of loyalty. The Undertaker knows how good Kane is, and Kane knows how good The Undertaker is. Why not put their differences aside to focus on the present, which is defending their spot on the roster to the youngsters.
Also, Kane teaming up with The Undertaker makes perfect sense whichever way you cut it. He fears his brother. Just look at his reaction at WrestleMania XX. Kane may have been burnt in a fire by The Undertaker, but he's not eager to start that shit, again.
