I don't really put Saw into the classic horror bracket.

As it doesn't follow the normal story of a non stop killing machine that always comes back.

The Saw films are a very good combination of mystery and suspense IMO, whilst there is gore there in the deaths (which BTW are very creative) it's there to serve a purpose and it's never killing for the sake of killing
