Personally, Dell has never done me wrong. My fiancée and I both have Dells and they both work great. My best friend had a Toshiba that shit the bed, and then his girlfriend had an HP...that shit the bed.
The only problem I've ever had with my Dell was when I dropped it ont he floor and had to get a new hard drive. THe warranty was still in effect and they sent me a brand new one and all I had to do was send the old one back to them in the container they gave me.
