When the original ECW existed, I had little to no access to it so I missed out on an amazing revolution in professional wrestling. At this point in my life, I have seen a great deal more of what ECW used to offer and think that I have a pretty good idea of what type of legacy that it created. And this new ECW doesn't do it any justice at all.

I've defended new ECW from the start, knowing that WWE was not going to go the route that the majority of the fans were hoping for. I've more or less enjoyed the product that I see every Tuesday night. But it could be so much better.

Fuck Extreme Rules. They should be the norm in every match. It's not like you have to use weapons just because you're allowed to. This would automatically make ECW more interesting to watch because it adds a level of excitement that WWE TV lacks. Guys going through tables and getting hit with chairs is entertaining. Do it more.

It seems as though WWE was expecting ECW to be an overnight sensation based on name recognition alone, and when that didn't happen they panicked a bit. They placed the blame on what remnants of ECW were left, and are slowly trying to strangle it out of the product all together. Give it some more fucking time, dammit. If you don't give the fans time to adjust to a completely new procuct or course they aren't going to give a fuck. The crowd reactions seem to be getting better as time goes on, and I think it's only a matter of time before ratings head in the same direction. It would be nice if they could make a few changes back to the old style along the way.
