I finally watched it, about a week ago - forgot all about this topic.

I really enjoyed it. Having read the novel, I thought they did a pretty good job staying faithful to the source material while making it a visually appealing story. Gonna try and find that better quality version that Nunder was talking about on Demonoid. My copy was clearly filmed in a theatre.
