He doesn't need to get any kind of huge push, just a solid but slow move up the card. The way I see it, they need him to take over as the "IC title guy" whenever Orton turns on Hunter. That will probably be nearly a year from now if it does end up happening. I'm not the biggest Maven fan myself, but I can see why people like him, and see some potential, but I'm not convinced. I dont know who is the right guy for him to fued with, like I said, I dont think there is any point of giving him a huge push. A fued with Orton down the line for the IC title would make sense though. I could see a deal where Maven plays the underdog, and comes reall close to winning, but never actually beats Orton.

Maven needs to be pushed slowly indeed, which is more than what WWE has done for him so far besides the Hardcore title a couple of years back.

I'd like to see him go over some of the lower midcard guys like Val Venis and The Hurricane before he moves onto the midcard. Those kind of wins are crucial, especially if he wants to be an IC title contender.
