Austin > Hogan
He turned me into a fan, and he kept me a fan. And all the guys he put over made me keep watching.
Austin came along and saved wrestling and brought it BACK to the mainstream, a feat perhaps more impressive than Hogan initially doing so. More importantly, he did it on his own merit and he got big because of who he was and what he did. Austin-mania was born from Austin and the fans and came from the ground up. Hulkamania was a genius creation that was pushed on people. Hogan was just a role of a genius creation.

Vince and the WWF built Hogan.
Austin saved and rebuilt Vince and the WWF.
