I KNOW

I was playing on my roomates big screen TV, and then I moved and played on a smaller one, and the timing changed comletely.

My advice would be to use your ears instead of your eyes. There is a sound like the wrestlers feet hitting the mat as they lock up. Immediatly AFTER the sound, press the button. Ideally, you want to time it so the button is pressed just as the sound ends, but thats if you're relearning higher levels. Start on 1, and work your way back up.
