I just updated to Ultimate right now and I'm in the process of restoring all my old applications from XP. I love it right now. I've had Windowblinds as well for quite some time but I was still using XP Home and I wanted more control.
Also running Ubuntu as well which I love.
To answer questions about the install, to upgrade, you run the CD from XP (or whatever version) and to install fresh you restart and boot from disk. It will search for previous versions and show any disks available. Then you have the choice, with partitions, to format a hard drive and start new. Then it installs itself. It really did most of the work itself which surprised me but it was very smooth.
