A lot of it has to do with the help of the 'audience'. Walking on water? Plexiglass. Teleporting a couple to create deja vu? Twins. Walking through glass? Removable panel. Levitation? The right angle and a false leg along with some camera trickery. It's all quite easy if you prepare everything the right way.
