That's because his Stampede run was his peak. Pretty much everything after that was on the downhill run of his career. And he mostly worked Bret when Bret was like what, 19? He bitched about everything back then.
Bad News vs Dynamite is one of the great underappreciated feuds. You could argue that it was all Dynamite but it takes two to tango, etc etc.
