John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels is pretty "meh" to me. The only interest I have in it is whether John Cena turns heel or not. I already know whose going to win, it all comes down to how it is pulled off by the WWE. That pretty much states the WWE Championship program is formula, which isn't a good sign, especially for a WrestleMania.
Batista vs. The Undertaker is a match I have no interest in watching. The World Heavyweight Title program will be more fascinating after WrestleMania. I'm curious as to who the WWE will line up to take the belt off Taker. If they continue the Batista/Taker feud, I will cry.
The Battle of the Billionaires has two guys in it I'm not too keen on. Eddie Fatu isn't that bad, but yeah. I'm more interested in whether they bring in Rosey and Samu to create another Wild Samoans stable. Bobby Lashley has been watered down and programmed by the WWE to the point where he has no substance left. Yawn.
Kane vs. The Great Khali doesn't do anything for me, and I'm a Kane mark. Next.
Chris Benoit vs. MVP is actually a match which could entertain me. As KoOS said, MVP can hold his own in the ring, and Benoit is Benoit. This is what I call a "supporting reason match", in that it isn't enough to order the show on its own, but the more and more reasons you have to watch, the more and more interesting this match becomes. It seems to flow off the energy of the show, and the interest level is in ratio to that with your interest in the show. This is definitely a tick in the pro column.
Melina vs. Ashley is going to be dreadful, I fear. I saw Ashley work a match with Jillian Hall, and all my faith in her deteriorated. I was singing her praises for a bit, but no more. Why this match is on the card yet Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. MNM vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor isn't befuddles me.
Money in the Bank doesn't have me interested this year. It's in the same category as Benoit/MVP. It will no doubt be fun, but I'm going to be gritting my teeth when it comes time for a winner to emerge. Edge's streak is on the line; Mr. Kennedy and CM Punk are both making their WrestleMania debuts. They can't all be winners. I just hope the WWE doesn't fuck it up, and I do not have faith in them not to do that. Another tick in the pro column, I guess.
Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang hasn't officially been announced yet, but I expect it to be. The Cruiserweight Title has never changed hands at a WrestleMania, so this should be a nice little moment for Jimmy Wang Yang. The two worked a tight little match on SmackDown!, and I think they could really deliver on the big stage. The first step to making the Cruiserweight Title mean something is to have it defended at WrestleMania. Like Benoit/MVP and MITB, though, it doesn't intrigue me enough to put my money down on the event.
So yeah, the final score with me is: 3 hits, 5 misses.
