Yeah, but put it this way: You have two equally complex languages, or at least comparably so. I won't pretend to be an expert on this, but you don't hang around with and be educated by programmers (My electronics professor, on top of serving in 'Nam, was a musician AND a programmer) without picking up a lot about this. Back then, this was apparently a big discussion point.

In any case, they're about the same. So what makes you favor the one over the other?

N64 got a rep for being hard to program for despite being a similar "chore" to the Playstation. Basically, it'd be like two game systems, where they have similar graphics capacities, and one gets a rep for being better visually.

Really, the Playstation wins because they were courting programmers. Now, the table has turned. They are the ones who are pissing off programmers by making their system hard, and bragging about it. This time, however, EVERYTHING ELSE is significantly easier to program for. The Wii is similar to the GCN, so it's familiar and relatively easy. 360? Also pretty easy to make good games.

PS3? Yeah. "We may never see it reachs its full potential." Which means harder programming to get XBox level games.

That is their albatross.
