Jake Roberts started using the DDT, then everyone else started using it while Jake was still wrestling. It didn't diminish Jake using it, people still went crazy for him using the DDT.

And besides how many casual fans ever heard of KENTA? How many of them will ever hear of him? Slim to none.

If Punk doesn't use the GO2SLEEP then someone else will start using it. And it would probably be someone like Funaki. At least Punk is over and gets airtime, he gets to showcase that move on a larger scale where KENTA couldn't.

It's not like KENTA is going to lose work because Punk is using his finisher.
And there is my argument. When they see KENTA using that move in some rare jap tape their cousin bootlegged for them they will say "hey stole Punks move." And yes it can hurt KENTA. Lets say KENTA wants to come to America. And wow, the WWE actually wants him. What happens when he comes in? Now you could some fairy tale feud of him being pissed about the disgrace, but that's not realistic. What would happen is they make him stop using his combo and finish for something else. Once more he's less likely to ever get considered because "they already have one of those."

This likely wouldn't be such an issue if he wasn't stealing so much from ONE guy. A thing here, and a thing there. Cool. Pillaging his move set? Shitty. As an independent contractor I know I have to offer something unique to get work. If some goes around doing the same things as I do, on larger mediums, this will effectivly STOP me from getting work anywhere. People wont pay to see some guy do the things they saw Tuesday. KENTA is just lucky he was previously established in the states before this happened.

You do understand the nessecity to be unique in this buiness right? I know how I feel when people take my spots, as I can tell you wouldn't understand, but I work hard to offer something an audience hasn't seen beofre. And when I see guys taking everything I've worked so hard to perfect and get over, they might as well be dipping their hands into my wallet. There's not much of a difference. Does this happen all the time? Yeah, but so does rape and I don't stand for that either.
