Owned, when spelled with a p, is a usually sarcastic way of conveying the impreesion that one has gained the upper hand in an online disucssion. It comes from the online "leet" practice of misspelling the word pwned, a common misstep as the p is directly beside the o on a standard keyboard. The term is often used in a derrogatory fashion; to suggest that you have "pwned" someone is to show that you are less than intelligent for letting the misspelling slip your attention.
