Calling him a spot monkey is bullshit. Well I will defend him in saying the first and foremost goal is to entertain the crowds and put asses in seats, and he does that. Not to mention he's an exciting and skilled performer. He has all unique moves and is a good worker.
He's not Kurt Angle, but he's something special all his own.

Yes he cashes in on spots, but what who cares? All wrestlers hit notes along the way and use their movesets. So if he can bust big spots and incredibly visually impressive moves out of his arsenal to help the match, then he should. He's not the best wrestler in the world, so anyone who says that would be overrating him. But to say he's overrated under the idea that the general consensus is "he's a great performer and damn good worker", then no, he's deserving of that credit and far from overrated.
