Twins are going to do the exact same thing as last year and it will probably make Terry Ryan look good again. Matt Garza was optioned down to AAA today, leaving Carlos Silva in the rotation to start the season.
Last year, Gardy shockingly decided to start Bartlett in AAA and Liriano in the pen. Liriano struggled a bit, but when the time was right they moved him to the rotation and he would have won the Cy Young if he stayed healthy. Bartlett came back up and his well above 300 and played every game of the year.
Like last year with Battista and Castro, the Twins are going to risk starting this year shitty with Silva, Ortiz and Ponson, but soon enough they will bring Garza, Perkins and Slowey in and it will be fine.
