John Cena turning heel isn't so much what people think will happen as it is what they want to happen. There is a key difference there.

Mr. Kennedy ending The Undertaker's streak would be a huge rub for him, in just one night getting his first two WrestleMania wins, ending The Undertaker's streak, winning MITB and becoming World Heavyweight Champion. If the WWE wants to turn Mr. Kennedy into a star, this is the way to do it. They just need to find someone to face Kennedy afterwards.

I think it's more likely we'll see Kennedy win MITB, Taker win the Title, and a drawn out feud between the two. I'd much rather see Edge or CM Punk (which has little chance of happening) win the match.
