Just another display of the length of their boner for him. Lesnar WAS WWE's son. Not just the "Next Big Thing," he was going to be the First Big Thing, the first new megastar after the end of the Attitude Era and the beginning of whatever this will be known as (probably the Split-Brand Era or something.) With Lesnar, everyone could be happy; Vince could have his Flagship Captain Big Man, marks could have an unstoppable beast to love or hate depending on what the creatives felt like doing with him, and smarks could have their technical prodigy. When Lesnar's star fell, everything WWE had been planning crashed to the ground in a heap of flaming rubble that still hasn't been extinguished.

But people, just remember that if that hadn't happened, we may never have seen this:
