Raven was never the most brilliant of wrestlers, but I think he gets more credit in the psychology department, like Jake "The Snake" Roberts (who trained him). He links this to his character, and has really created a memorable one.
I think Raven's time in the sun has come and gone, though. I haven't really enjoyed him in TNA, and looking at him now...mmm. It's kind of depressing, and not because the character intends to transfer its feelings to us, but because he's a shell of his former self character-wise.
When you really look at his achievements, Scott Levy has had a pretty fantastic in-ring career:
WWE Hardcore Championship (27)
WWE Cruiserweight Champion
WWE United States Champion
ECW Tag Team Championship (4)
WCW Tag Team Champion
ECW World Champion (2)
NWA World Heavyweight Championship
I personally think he should now replace Don West as TNA's colour commentator. Raven is genuinely a smart guy, and he's proven to be a great talker and a funny guy. Kevin Nash would be another great replacement, but let's face it, Nash is probably too funny for his own good, and will likely overshadow the matches; Raven could probably become a part of them. He would be pretty close to JBL in terms of colour commentary ability, in my opinion.
