Why not just have Vince come down into a ring with the ECW originals, shit on the belt. Legitimately murder the originals and just burn down the 'ECW' ring.
Keep it short and sweet.
We all know this incarnation of ECW is a shell of what ECW actually was. It humiliates both Vince for trying and us for bearing witness. I can live with it, for the sake of him trying to make money as I don't knock people trying to make money. I'll also admit that I don't give a shit about Bobby Lashley.
But was that really necessary?
This is gonna help the struggling franchise known as ECW. We make the man who was the counterpoint of the ECW movement its champion. We have him go over someone who is supposed to be one of the next big stars in the business. We make him the forefront of "ECW's" 'evolution' (de-evolution anyone?) and on top of that, we have him mock the originals because Vince knows about what made those guys great...
Give me a fucking break. Yeah, I know. To the victor go the spoils, but beyond the obvious(this screaming massive ego rub) it tells me that Vince has completely lost touch with anything remotely resembling reality. Yeah, its been a long drawn out angle and sure, maybe they're going somewhere with it. However, let's consider A: Vince has always done crap like this and B: Its WWE. Which tells me its not going anywhere. Sorry to rant, but I was disgusted watching that unfold.
