I can't really think of anyone active that they can "give the ball to" right now. They'll probably just bring JBL out of retirement for a while. I don't believe the Hardys have what it takes, Finlay is a solid mid carder but not a title threat... maybe MVP but it's very soon for him. Johnny Nitro is buried, Striker is too small, Monty Brown is saddled with a shitty name and gimmick, C.M. Punk is too 'frowned upon', Sandman has no chance, Umaga is on a downward spiral... it's hard to imagine who is going to fill all these voids at the top of the card... other than the tried and tested monster approach.
