If you have them in .WAV format, you can use sound recorder (It's like Star>Accesories>Entertainment or something)

On my computer, I use Nero Wave editor, which I'm sure you could crack from somewhere if you wanted to go that route. but you may also need to crack the LAME plugin to make that work. Don't know.

I think olderversions of Musicmatch could edit MP3s, too, and that was free.
