First of all. O'neal is a great player. Lets just get that out of the way. The guy has had some bad luck the last 3 years with the brawl and a few nagging injuries, but he's tough. He played the last month of this season with a torn MCL and still put up number. He's a major defensive presence and will score 20-25 points and grab 10 rebounds. Compared to Odom, whos Mr. Underachiever and had injury problems and a kid whos what 19 and your only keeping him cause he might be great?? And you say its a terrible deal? Getting an established All-Star big man with MVP type potential. Give me a break. Thats a fantastic deal that makes you guys contenders in the west right away especially if they added Tinsely.
Your giving up a career 15ppg 10reb guy and a 19 your old kid with huge potential ( we all know how that usually works out ) for All Star PF/Center. Kobe's right, you guys are stupid. He should get out now. Thats why the Lakers wont win a title as long as they dont make a trade.
