I was lucky enough to meet him once, briefly. Nice guy. Too many assholes in this business, but he wasn't one. Just the fact that he was willing to stop and talk to us, however briefly, after a show.
Not much else to say. I'm no good at flowery prose. I just know that he was one of the very best that I or anyone else will ever see. I'm not exactly sure on the idea of an afterlife, of heaven or hell or any of that. But if there is, obviously he's in a better place.
A lot of people treat this business like a joke. Oftentimes, they're right. But they forget how goddamned tough of a business it really is. So thanks, Wild Pegasus, wherever you might be. For dedicating a way too short life to entertaining us. You did it superbly well.
